New design for the Daily Planet building used as a cover background on SECRET FILES...
This is a cartoon strip I created for Denver magazine "303"--if you click, it will open up full size in this window...
"Leaving Metropol"--this image was created as a cover image for a science fiction story--the original was not used--there are two versions of the image...
This early image called "Cosmic Visitation" was created using Poser, Bryce, and Photoshop... One of the first images I created entirely in Bryce 2.0--it is titled "Ice City Spaceport Night"... An image called "Green Tower" and created entirely with Bryce 1.0--one of my earliest attempts at 3D graphics... "Fertility Figure Failure"--another early Bryce image created using a figure from Poser... "Flush"--the first panoramic render using Bryce 1.0--very early work... "Flight"--this image became an exercise in creating textures both in Photoshop and Bryce 4.0... "Doom"--a trading card created for a comic book fan who had the most amazing collection of Doctor Doom artwork... "Chance Encounter"--although the figures were created in Poser and Bryce, this image was almost entirely created in Photoshop... Cover to a SHIP OF FOOLS issue--this was another collaboration with Mike Oeming--I created the color separations and digital backgrounds using Mike's line art... "Big Blue"--this image was an exercise in creating an accurate image of Superman using 3D software--the costume and textures were created from scratch... An unpublished work--originally created as a cover to a comic book... Another unpublished cover for a comic book series... An early light study created using Poser 4.0... "Scarred"--a similar light and texture study generated using Daz Studio tellware... "Pluto's Face"--a self portrait created using a terrain wireframe and grayscale photo of myself--the rendered texture was similar to a glass or water texture created in Bryce... "Sorceror's Skull"--a Halloween-themed image created for a friend's party invitation... "The Hunt"--a fantasy image created as an experiment using millions of skeleton images rendered in Bryce... "Tubes"--an early experiment in Bryce--this image has been translated into vector art and used in the Manage Forward designs seen in this website... "Lexcorp Tower"--the re-designed headquarters of Lex Luthor... "Metropolis"--the re-design of Superman's Metropolis... "Metallic Foam"--this is what the earlier "Tubes" image evolved into--an early abstract image created in Bryce and color adjusted in Photoshop... "Silver Chord"--a digital composite created in Photoshop using several early 3D software renders--it was created as a classroom demonstration... "Crashing Through"--one of my first attempts using Vue 4.0... "Grotto"--I blurred the nudity a bit, but this was also one of my earlier images created circa 2002 using Vue 4.0... This is a cartoon strip I created for Denver magazine "303"--if you click, it will open up full size in this window... "Lovecraft's Crypt"--one of the first images I created after upgrading to Vue 5 Infinite... I created using "Mercury Rising"--an award winning image created using Vue 5 Infinite... "After"--another award winner created using Vue 5 Infinite... "Babylon"--experiments with light and reflected light--the firelight was the most challenging aspect of this image's creation... "Lost Temple"--this was actually the first image I created using Vue 5 Infinite--I played a lot with the new ecosystem technology and the creation of convincing firelight... "Evolution of the Warrior Caste"--this image was orignally created for a science fiction themed contest--it received an honorable mention and a few other gallery awards... "Boarding Party"--another science fiction themed contest entry--the render was made entirely in Vue with no post work in Photoshop... "Lost"--after creating a few science fiction images, I worked on trying to create a more contemporary photorealistic image... "Garden Grey"--an image created as a classroom demo using Daz Studio and Adobe Illustrator... "Inevitable"--lots of hidden detail hidden in the shadows... "Lirhful Station: In the Throe of a Seditious Event"--this one was rendered using Vue 6 Infinite, and there's a whole page devoted to the creation of Lirhful Station which can be accessed from the menu to the left...
